I was born and raised in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. and attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. There I made many wonderful memories and friends, and received my BA in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics. I also completed my junior year abroad at the University of Exeter in England.
I received my Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) in Clinical Psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I moved to San Diego in 1993 to complete a predoctoral internship at Psychological and Counseling Services at UCSD. To round off my training, I completed a postdoctoral internship for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and also practiced at Scripps Hospitals on the Psychiatric Evaluation and Triage team. I spent over 25 years assisting college students with psychological and learning disabilities to attain their highest goals, prior to moving into private practice. Other roles I have had along the way include providing psychoeducational assessments for athletes at UCLA, learning assessments for children in the San Diego Area, and writing Matchmaking Reports for Valenti International. I live in the beautiful coastal village of Carlsbad and see clients virtually throughout California.
